Rose Headband

I need this kinda fast…

I made fabric folded roses using this terrific tutorial from Calamity Kim: http://calamitykim.typepad.com/calamity_kim/2009/05/how-to-make-fold-twist-fabric-flowers.html

Thanks Kim!

I made three for the head band and one for good luck!

I then stitched them on to a piece of felt and added beads to secure the whole piece.

Then on the back I stitched a “casing” with another piece of felt and inserted the stretchy headband.

Kinda fuzzy photo, but I sewed the first half down then inserted the stretchable headband, then stitched the opposite side encasing the headband.

Ok, I took the photo of me wearing the headband… on me… not so nice with the grey roots gleaming through, but on an 12 year old in a Christmas dress…. kinda nice!!

Kinda anthropology look, and a nice gift using what you have on hand!
